In this video we see the installation of Srila Prabhupada’s lotus feet in our temple in Sochi, Russia. One time a disciple said to Srila Prabhupada, “I would like to always be near your lotus feet.” Srila Prabhupada smiled and replied, “Then you must be fast, because these lotus feet are moving quickly all over the world.” And now they have come to Sochi. Jaya Srila Prabhupada!

A wonderful reception at the airport in Yekaterinburg, in the very heart of Russia. The snow has melted, spring has sprung, and the devotees are dancing in the streets everywhere we go in the Motherland. Srila Prabhupada, you must have seen these things in your transcendental vision and that is why you gave your mercy to the people of this country. I am so happy in service to your mission here.
A video of our program in Yekaterinburg two days ago with devotees from the Urals region of Russia. All glories to Srila Prabhupada, who lotus feet graced this nation 41 years ago. The fruits and flowers of his preaching continue to blossom throughout this land.
Yekaterinburg was founded in 1723 and named after Peter the Great’s wife, Catherine I. It is now Russia’s 4th largest city. It is also home to a thriving community of Krsna conscious devotees who regularly do harinama throughout the beautiful city. As a result of such chanting and dancing, devotees are popular amongst the citizens, who often greet them with the words, “Hare Krsna!” It is all happening by the grace of SrilaPrabhupada. My dear master! May your glories be sung throughout the 3 worlds!

Our Festival Of The Holy Names in Yekaterinburg. Like everywhere we travel in Russia, the 700 devotees in Yekaterinburg were enthusiastic to chant Hare Krsna!

Harinam samkirtan in the city of Catherine I, wife of Peter the Great. Three hundred devotees descended on Yekaterinburg with loud voices, musical instruments and synchronized dancing. The effect of such mercy is difficult to explain in words. Hopefully this short video can begin to explain the joy and happiness felt by both devotees and onlookers alike. All glories to the chanting of Sri Krsna’s holy names!

Upon our arrival in St. Petersburg ( at 1 am in the morning ) we were greeted by yet another wave of blissful Russian devotees who were happily floating in the nectarian ocean of devotional service

Myself, Bada Haridas and Chaturatma had been looking forward with great expectation to our visit to St. Petersburg. The devotees there are especially sweet. The first evening program satisfied all our desires. The holy names had everyone chanting and dancing in great ecstasy. In the midst of it all I remembered the words of Srila Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya in glorification of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu:
“His name calms the mind and subdues the senses. He gives the great gift of Krsna’s name. He is the ultimate mercy, for He protects those who are fallen and lowly. His beautiful body shines brilliantly and He reveals Krsna’s confidential pastimes in the bowers of Vrindavan. May Lord Gauracandra, the best of dancers, reveal Himself within the midst of our hearts.” [ Susloka Satakam, verse 57 ]

Each time we come to Russia our visit to the St. Petersburg yatra is one of the highlights of our tour. Our visit this past week was no exception, as we had kirtan for hours each day with hundreds of devotees in their center downtown. All glories to Srila Prabhupada, by whose mercy the chanting of Lord Krsna’s holy names have spread to every town and village in this land!

It was ‘heaven on earth’ as myself, Bada Haridas and Chaturatma spent our last day in St. Petersburg chanting Hare Krsna and dancing in ecstacy with all the wonderful devotees in the temple. Special moments that we will remember and cherish until we return again.

Thanks for your offering Ananta Vrindavan. A nice collection of shots from our recent tour in Russia with my dear godbrothers Bada Haridas and Chaturatma. I am posting it for my disciples…
A public program in Kaliningrad. The formula is always the same; chanting, dancing and feasting. But somehow it works exceptionally well in Russia.
The first day of our Sadhu Sanga Retreat in the USA was beyond everyone’s expectations. Over 1,600 devotees chanted and danced in great ecstasy, grateful for each other’s association.
On the second day of the Sadhu Sanga Retreat in North Carolina an amazing lineup of kirtaneers took us all to new heights of bliss while chanting the holy names. Radhanath Swami’s morning class touched the hearts of everyone and prasadam throughout the day was simply the best.
The last day of the Sadhu Sanga Retreat was pure nectar because of endless kirtan and the association of so many wonderful devotees of the Lord. We can only pray that we’ll have the same opportunities again next year, as well as birth after birth
On the way to the Sadhu Sanga Retreat we spent 3 blissful days at New Raman Reti in Alachua, Florida. We also visited the Krsna House in Gainesville. [ All photos by Damodar-rati dasa ]
Dear disciples: A new lecture entitled, “Imposter!” is now available on www.narottam.com. The class was given last week at New Raman Reti in Alachua, Florida.
“All rituals and fasts associated with Vedic sacrifice, all bathing in holy places around the world, all penances and fasts within this world, thousands of recitals of Vedic literature, and hundreds of circumambulations of the entire surface of the earth cannot match even a sixteenth portion of the merit acquired by chanting the holy name of Krishna.” [ Bhagavan Nama Mahatmya Samgraha, verses 266 – 267 ]
1.600 devotees enjoyed many hours of kirtan at the Sadhu Sanga Retreat in North Carolina over Memorial Day weekend. Words cannot begin to express the deep joy and satisfaction everyone experienced. Perhaps the following photos of Damodar-rati das can help to convey the spirit of that historic event.
